Delete your YPC account
This page is for the YPC app by Rounds for Squares. You can delete your account and the data tied to it at any time from inside the app, or by writing to us if you can no longer sign in.
Delete from inside the app
- Open YPC and sign in.
- Go to Settings.
- Choose Delete account.
- Review what will be deleted, then confirm.
This works even if you haven't joined or created a care circle yet — the option is available right after sign-in.
What is deleted
Deletion takes effect immediately and cannot be undone. It removes:
- Your profile and sign-in identity.
- Your care circle memberships and most content tied to them.
- Push-notification registrations for your devices.
- Care circles where you are the patient, and circles where no other joined patient or represented primary caregiver remains. These circles and all of their content are deleted for every member. The app shows you which circles this affects before you confirm.
Other circles continue without you. Your posts, check-ins, legacy entries, legacy bucket items, and other membership-linked content are removed from those circles, subject to the two exceptions below.
What is kept
If a circle continues after you delete your account, love notes already released to that circle remain. Their author name changes to "Someone from your circle." Saved places you added also remain for the circle, but they no longer identify you as their creator.
Aggregated usage statistics and crash diagnostics that are not tied to your account content may remain. Service providers may also keep limited backups or logs under their own retention rules.
